Job Specifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in the field of design and CNC programming
Job Summary

Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Engineering Lead in our Tooling Business Center at our Engines Products - Brecksville Operations Tempcraft facility located at 10147 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, OH. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the CAD/CAM department including Tooling Design and CNC programming.

Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation.

Job Requirements

Engineering Lead - Brecksville

  • Directs the activities of tooling designers and CNC programmers
  • Supports operations with design and programming work when required
  • Working closely with tool and die makers to develop manufacturing plans that ensure efficient production and high quality tool production
  • Developing new manufacturing technology in support of process and product improvement
  • Management of CAD/CAM systems to drive standardization
  • Ensuring that processes meet all Howmet Safety standards for both operation and product reliability
  • Ensuring the strategic development of employees within the department and ensures the completion of periodic performance evaluations, annual goals and Individual Development Plans (IDP)
  • Flexibility for occasional (<15>
