Dietary Supervisor - Antelope Valley Care Center (Project Management)
Shift: Monday-Friday (9am-5pm)
Oversee all food preparation and service to ensure meals are safe, appetizing, and meet dietary needs based on physicians' orders and approved menus.
Supervise and manage dietary staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, disciplining, and terminating employees when necessary.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding food handling, storage, sanitation, and dietary operations.
Coordinate dietary services with nursing staff and other departments to meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
Maintain budgetary guidelines, monitor food and supply costs, and plan for holiday and special event meals.
Conduct resident nutritional assessments, record food preferences, and complete monthly nutritional notes for those at risk.
Inspect the kitchen and food storage areas regularly to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.
Participate in quality assurance (QA) and interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, and document menu changes while keeping diet cards updated.
Prepare and transmit food supply orders, ensuring inventory aligns with facility needs and dietary requirements.
Meet physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintaining sensory awareness (sight, taste, smell) essential for food safety and quality.
