Sr Project Engineer - AERO Supply Chain (Finance)

Honeywell Aerospace is hiring an Advanced Project Engineer to support the Supplier Readiness Mechanical Value Stream (Mech VS). In this role, you will collaborate with matrixed Component Design teams, including Design, Materials, and Stress Engineering, and work directly with Mech VS Leaders and Program Managers to develop and execute supplier transition strategies.

This position is part of Honeywell's Corporate Supplier Excellence initiative, one of Aerospace's top priorities, which focuses on exiting suppliers, high-impact past-due parts, and dual-sourced components. You'll contribute to key supply chain metrics through insourcing, onboarding new suppliers, and establishing second sources. The role is embedded within a cross-functional team of dedicated Engineering and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) professionals driving supplier readiness across the enterprise.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 5+ years of experience in Project Engineering

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and Honeywell suppliers to deliver optimal solutions to complex technical challenges
• Comfortable using MS project for project plans and execution• Leverage broad knowledge of the Honeywell organization to influence and escalate as needed in support of Supplier Readiness initiatives.
• Prepare and present Engineering Part Analysis (EPA), Transition Design Reviews (TDR), Risk Assessments, and Supplier Qualifications.
• Ensure appropriate review levels are conducted while identifying opportunities for standardization, cycle time reduction, and cost savings across multiple sites.
• Develop and manage MS Project execution plans to drive critical path milestones.
• Prepare and track budgets aligned with active project execution.
• Apply engineering experience, intuition, and judgment to derive actionable insights from diverse information sources.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering resources (Design, Structures, Chief Engineering, etc.) to complete design changes and part substantiation.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure technical compliance and schedule adherence.
• Partner with Value Stream Leaders and Program Managers to overcome technical barriers and achieve dual sourcing objectives.
• Drive execution of Supplier Readiness goals through collaboration and communication within the Honeywell technical community.
• Travel approximately 15% of the time based on project support as needed.About Us
