JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, repairs and maintains fiberglass rides, games and benches. Creates molds for fiberglass projects. Repairs and maintains upholstery for rides, games and vehicles. UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS: Wears company issued uniform. Works inside and outside in varying weather conditions and around dust and chemical fumes. May be required to wear respirators, hardhats, gloves, boots, belts, dust masks, goggles and ear plugs as work conditions vary. May be required to work weekends. Requires a clean DMV printout at time of employment. JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): Repair and maintain fiberglass on rides, benches, games and arcade equipment. Repair upholstery on rides, games and vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance on fiberglass and upholstery.Perform repairs on the Log Ride logs and trough.Read written job orders and determines work to be completed.Maintain maintenance logs.Create molds for new fiberglass projects.Order materials.Document work completed.Safely uses hand and power tools including sanders, grinders and saws.Operate company vehicles on and off site including the man lifts, forklifts, motorized carts and other support equipment.Select appropriate preparation supplies, resin, fiberglass, foam and upholstery material for each project. May provide relief in other job class, be on call or do other work as assigned. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience repairing and maintaining fiberglass equipment and creating molds for fiberglass. Some experience repairing and constructing upholstery. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of fiberglass and upholstery application, maintenance and repair.Knowledge of the application and use of resins and jel coats.Ability to work independently to perform repairs and to maintain fiberglass and upholstery.Ability to select appropriate preparation material for each project.Ability to create and build molds.Ability to learn to use various equipment and machinery including: table saws, radial arm saws, ban saws and jib saws. Ability to operate vehicles including man lifts, forklifts, motorized carts and other support equipment.Ability to follow safety practices and proper lifting techniques.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time.Able to occasionally lift up to 90 pounds from ground to waist height.Able to occasionally carry up to 90 pounds.Able to work at heights up to 70' in a man lift basket or on rides with a catwalk.Able to smell/or detect odors/fumes from various chemicals.Able to read instructions and labels and to write work orders and instructions.Bi-manual dexterity.
