Sr. Software Engineer - Security Development and Integration (Information Technology)

We are seeking a Sr Software Engineer with strong DevOps experience and a developer mindset to help build scalable, automated solutions for our cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure, infrastructure automation, security tooling integration, and .NET application development. A strong understanding of SIEM/SOAR, event-driven automation, and network security monitoring is critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and automation tools.
  • Design, build, and integrate .NET-based applications and APIs that interface with security and infrastructure systems.
  • Implement and optimize SIEM/SOAR integrations and workflows for detection, alerting, and automated remediation.
  • Collaborate closely with cybersecurity and operations teams to build scalable, event-driven automation solutions.
  • Contribute to platform reliability, security, and governance by aligning automation with enterprise controls and standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in analyzing complex, enterprise business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership.
  • 3+ years of experience building enterprise applications using .NET Core / C#, including RESTful APIs and backend development using ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework.
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), including Git-based workflows, pipelines, and release automation.
  • 3+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible for cloud infrastructure provisioning and security workflow automation.
  • Experience integrating Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure App Services, Azure Functions) into enterprise application workflows within a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Experience working with Azure networking, monitoring, and security control tools (e.g., NSGs, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel).
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and using services like Azure Event Grid, Logic Apps, or Functions.
  • Experience with SIEM/SOAR tools, especially in building or integrating security automation playbooks.
  • Experience working in hybrid cloud environments with Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, or Azure Data Explorer.
  • Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.
 
  • 7+ years of experience building automated security operations workflows, including log enrichment, alert correlation, and response execution.
  • 5+ years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • 5+ years of experience working with or supporting IAM tools or access management systems in secure environments.
  • 3+ years of experience working with SIEM platforms like Microsoft Sentinel and playbook development using tools such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Ansible.
