Mortgage Compliance Specialist II (Finance)

What You'll Do:

Creates policies and procedures and performs requirements for mortgage quality control (pre-closing, postclosing and TRID, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Regulatory Audits, Safe Act, Reg B, Appraisals, Loan Application Register, Flood and Mortgage fair lending system reviews that help to discover errors and omissions to provide accurate and timely feedback and recommendations to management. Assist with loan deliveries to the secondary market and monitor documentation requirements for delayed delivery. Responsible for importing LOS (Loan Originating System) data into HMDA reporting software, data review, and timely reporting.

  • Compensation: $63,980.80 - $73,569.60 annually (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

What's Needed For This Position:

  • Associate's Degree or the equivalent in experience in business, finance, or accounting
  • Three years of applicable mortgage lending, processing, or underwriting experience OR financial compliance regulatory experience
  • Experience with Mortgage Management Software systems (Blue Sage LOS, NContracts Fair Lending, and QuestSoft HMDA Relief)
  • Must be bondable

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of mortgage compliance regulations including HMDA, TRID, ECOA, Reg Z, and RESPA, with the ability to audit and interpret data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficient in using loan origination systems and mortgage management software, with strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write reports, document procedures, and present findings clearly.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a high-volume environment while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Technologically adept, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to quickly learn and use Royal's digital tools across devices.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, working approximately 40 hours per week. Hours are between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday with additional hours as needed.

Training:

  • Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
    • Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal's culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
