FORMULATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST (Agriculture)

Kent Nutrition Group has a fantastic opportunity to join their thriving team as a Formulation Support Specialist within the Operations Department! The Formulation Support Specialist will be responsible for providing formulation assistance to our 14 corporate manufacturing plants. This is a salaried position based in Muscatine, IA with a complete benefits package reporting to the Senior Formulation Manager.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Create and maintain feed labels on a regular basis
- Document and maintain product formula records
- Work closely with plant personnel on formulation requests
- Ensure timely responses to internal and external customer inquiries
- Assist with product setup in the pricing system
- Work directly with nutritionists to develop and maintain animal feed formulas
- Maintain ingredient and product formula data in formulation software
- Assist with formulation substitutions, reworks and other formulation tasks
- Complete routine best costing in the formulation system
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Animal Science preferred
Experience & Qualifications:
- Agricultural background or knowledge is beneficial, specifically animal nutrition
- High level of accuracy and careful attention to details
- Advanced computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of Formulation software is a plus
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills
- A positive and flexible attitude with a desire to develop new skills
- Able to manage multiple duties simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
