Corporate Communications Specialist (Marketing)



We are currently seeking a collaborative teammate to join the Marketing and Communications team as a Corporate Communications Specialist.  In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and creation of strategic marketing/communication campaigns and materials to enhance the company's image through a consistent and unified voice.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for research, planning, implementation and evaluation of the corporate website and social media sites.
  • Draft press releases, articles, internal documents, white papers, media summaries, and presentations.
  • Ensure all communications are cohesive with the brand image.
  • Researches, writes and edits copy for marketing/communication pieces.
  • Generates story leads for FCCI publications, including bi-annual online newsletters and emails.
  • Assists with managing the content, flow and accessibility of information through liaisons with appropriate content providers and systems experts.

The selected candidate can work from any FCCI office location (Sarasota, FL; Lake Mary, FL; Lawrenceville, GA;  Indianapolis, IN; Richardson, TX;  Richmond, VA;  Ridgeland, MS).  This is an in-office role with a hybrid schedule.

Experience

Required
  • * Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field. Note: Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
  • * Minimum of four years of experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies.
  • * Advanced knowledge of the English language, grammar, journalism and AP reporting techniques.
  • * Advanced knowledge of marketing/advertising and public relation principles.
  • * Advanced knowledge of the organization and its public image philosophy.
  • * Advanced technical knowledge of web content, layouts and related software.
  • * Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • * Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • * Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.
  • * Ability to utilize project management skills.
  • * Ability to coach others in effective communication internally and externally.
  • * Ability to create scripts for speaking engagements and preparing presentations.
Preferred
  • * Accreditations in Public Relations (APR) and/or Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC), and insurance knowledge are a plus.
