Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Teachers - Little Luke's (Project Management)
The Y Child Development Program provides children with a wide variety of academic enrichment activities to help children make new friends, do better in school, enjoy more physical activity, develop new skills, and live with caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Teachers support a child's cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development by implementing Frogstreet Curriculum, Conscious Discipline, Handwriting Without Tears, play, physical activity, nutrition education, STEM, art & music, character development, and social-emotional learning. Every day, teachers provide a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all children.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure the safety of participants, families, and volunteers.Plan, organize, supervise and facilitate age appropriate curriculum based experiences.Inform, involve, and engage families with participants' activities.Keep equipment, and areas safe, clean, and organized.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 or older.Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.Must be able to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, and professional when interacting with others.
Schedule:
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Schedule will fall within regular operating hours of 6:00am-6:00pm.
