Principal Pricing Analyst (Finance)

In this global role, you will partner closely with Corporate Pricing and Finance, Business Commercial and Finance teams, and other key stakeholders-including senior leadership-to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide financial objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring the P&L reflects these objectives by developing performance insights, communicating key findings, and tracking initiatives to drive goal attainment. Additionally, you will craft a compelling performance narrative to support strategic decision-making.

You will own the analytics and reporting processes that underpin a robust P&L structure, delivering actionable insights to both Corporate and Business senior leadership.

This position will report directly to the ESS Pricing Sr. Director and will be based out of Rosemont, IL. The role will require travel to present to leadership in Charlotte as well as travel as required to remain close to end customers.As a Principal Pricing Analyst at Honeywell, you will analyze market trends and the performance-driven landscape to identify pricing opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to drive pricing initiatives, maximizing revenue generation and improving profitability.YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Pricing, Finance or Business analysis

WE VALUE

  • Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of P&Ls and other key financial metrics.
  • Experience with the Honeywell UOP portfolio is highly valued.
  • Proficient in pricing management tools such as Salesforce (SFDC), SAP, and PROS.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while driving continuous process improvement.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Skilled at interpreting complex or conflicting data, identifying key issues, and proposing effective solutions or alternatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering reports and presentations to senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable operating within large, complex matrix organizations; adept at influencing and driving outcomes through collaboration and persuasion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the alignment and tracking of P&L performance between Corporate and Business units, regularly presenting financial bridges (walks/waterfalls), root cause analyses, and actionable plans to senior leadership.
  • Leverage financial and statistical tools to uncover trends and patterns in complex datasets, translating insights into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences.
  • Lead pricing-related initiatives by defining project timelines, deliverables, and communication strategies, ensuring effective execution and change management.
  • Maintain and analyze pricing data to support internal stakeholders, delivering insights that assess data quality and business implications.
  • Develop and deliver reports and presentations that highlight key trends, patterns, and forecasts, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare comprehensive analysis reports that clearly outline methodologies and findings, empowering stakeholders to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Enhance and automate the Management Operating System (MOS) to deliver timely, accurate data that supports business decision-making.
  • Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Plan (STRAP) pricing processes, ensuring alignment with broader financial goals.
  • Stay current on pricing trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve pricing strategies and capabilities.
  • Demonstrate strong independent work ethic while effectively collaborating across teams and managing multiple priorities.
