The Assistant Marina Manager is responsible for working with and alongside the marina team in order to serve members and guests by performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to general operation of the docks, ships store POS and assisting boaters. Looking for exceptional customer service, energetic personality and business organizing skills needed to administer our marina operations. The Assistant Marina Manager must work to maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor and marina facilities and conduct needed monthly safety inspections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide SHM members with the best experience possibleConduct monthly inspectionsMarina Team SchedulingGreet all customers in a manner that expresses a kind, courteous and professional characterHelp orient members and guests to the marina, facilities, and answer other commonly asked questionsAssist customers with general boating needsMaintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, grounds and other areas designated by managementEnsure docks and equipment are operational at all timesComply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectationsAvailability to work overtime when requiredAbility to work weekends and holidaysOther duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area. Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred2-5 years marina experience preferredAbility to work safely around the waterMust be able to swimAbility to lift 50 poundsBasic boat handling skills preferredPrevious customer service experience preferredPrevious Marina experience preferred
