Public Relations Specialist (Creative Design)



Job Summary: The Public Relations Specialist will support strategic initiatives to create and maintain a positive public image for the agency.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serves as a liaison between the organization and the public.
Develops and maintains a positive public image for the agency through public facing communication.
Writes, reviews, and/or distributes press releases approved by the CEO.
Evaluates advertising campaigns to ensure consistency with the agencys public relations strategy.
Works with the Prevention Specialists to market prevention campaigns.
Develops and executes social media and content strategies to release Information on SCS in a manner that promotes a positive public image.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of public relations principles and strategies.
Excellent public speaking skills.
Excellent communication skills with proven ability to write in a journalistic style for external publications.
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with the public.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
A bachelors degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field is required.
Two years of related experience, preferred.
