Work Schedule: This is an hourly position. Hours will be based on operational needs and may include evenings, weekends, and overtime.

Summary: We are looking for a skilled and dependable Tugger/Hoist Driver to operate industrial vehicles within our facility. The role involves transporting, loading, and unloading materials safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate has experience with powered industrial vehicles, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Certification and prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment are preferred.
As a Tugger/Hoist Driver, you will:
- Material Transportation: Operate a tugger vehicle or hoist to move materials between different locations within the facility, such as storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload materials onto and off the tugger, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures related to the operation of the tugger/hoist and the handling of materials.
- Inventory Management: May assist with inventory control by accurately tracking the movement of materials.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks on the tugger/hoist and report any malfunctions or issues.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with supervisors and other team members regarding material movement and any potential issues.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork related to material movement and inventory.
Qualifications & Skills
- Operating Powered Industrial Vehicles: Experience operating a tugger, hoist, or similar equipment is essential, often requiring certification.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in material handling and documentation is crucial.
- Physical Stamina: The role may involve standing and/or sitting for extended periods and lifting materials.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate with others regarding material movement and potential issues.
- Teamwork: Working effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth material flow.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve minor issues related to material handling.
