Summary:

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) leads the IT strategy and execution across Ash Grove. This position leads system changes, including the implementation of a new ERP, to support continued growth and optimize operations. The position is a key member of the Senior Leadership team ensures that IT delivers measurable value across the organization-driving efficiency, supporting the manufacturing and commercial agenda while maintaining a secure, scalable, and resilient technology environment. The Chief Information Officer builds out an IT structure to support the growth ambitions, reports annual revenues exceeding $2 billion and operates more than 100 manufacturing and distribution facilities across the United States and Canada for Ash Grove.

What you'll be contributing:

  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
  • Develops, oversees, and implements an IT roadmap that supports business objectives, operational priorities, and growth strategies.
  • Serves as a strategic partner to executives by leveraging technology to advance business goals and achieve objectives.
  • Manages a $10M+ annual IT budget, ensuring cost control and strategic innovation in IT investments.
  • Maintains the security, stability, reliability, and cost-efficiency of enterprise systems.
  • Drives IT due diligence, integration planning, and execution for acquisitions-balancing speed, scalability, and risk.
  • Oversees the seamless integration of IT systems, resources, and expenditures during acquisition and divestiture activities.
  • Standardizes processes and technologies across acquired businesses.
  • Partners with CRH Cyber assurance teams, to oversee cybersecurity programs, compliance, and risk management to safeguard company assets and data.
  • Enhances reporting and analytics functions to facilitate timely and well-informed decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Develops and maintains a high-performing IT team known for effective execution and a commitment to service excellence.
  • Collaborates and influences across other CRH business units and departments, including peer CIO's, for the greater good of Ash Grove business.
  • Cultivates strong partnerships with technology vendors and service providers; responsible for overall quality of vendor contracts within IT department
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • 10 + years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior executive role
  • Experience leading enterprise IT functions across North American, multi-site business.
  • Strong background in ERP systems, M&A integration, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technology strategy and outcomes
  • Proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams to drive innovation and achieve business objectives
  • Proficient in effective written English, verbal communication, and listening skill.
  • Ability to perform, organize and prioritize work independently
  • Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively negotiate
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365 Suite and computer applications
  • Ability to lead, direct and manage organizations, programs and people
  • Ability to effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback
  • Operational and strategic skill and experience in budgeting/financial management.
  • Domestic and International travel up to 25%
