Retirement Benefits Manager (Information Technology)

The Retirement Plans Manager will execute the U.S. Retirement strategy by ensuring the effective design, implementation, communication and administration of our qualified, nonqualified, pension and employee stock purchase plans.  This role ensures that programs adhere to current regulations, support the organization's strategic objectives and are competitive. Serves as subject matter expert for retirement strategy development and as a key contributor to the overall strategic direction in a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

You will deal in the following areas. . .

Serve as the company functional expert by developing and leading key benefits programs including Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Plan, and the qualified Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Plan Administration & Compliance

  • Manage Company matches and other Company contributions approving all for accuracy and overseeing timely posting into the Plans.
  • Ensure ERISA, DOL, PBGC, IRS and SEC compliance for all Plans, including, but not limited to, the Annual Compliance Testing.
  • Monitor and ensure all retirement audits, reconciliations, valuations and fundings are completed accurately and timely, including any necessary corrections.
  • Ensure data submission is completed timely and accurately for the SEC Filings.
  • Monitor that regulatory notices are approved and distributed timely.
  • Develop retirement strategy, including vendor management and employee engagement.
  • Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Confirm all documents relating to the Plans are updated appropriately and timely.
  • Collaborate with vendors on communications and educational training, including onsite meetings and communication development, as needed.
  • Oversee that annual DCP enrollment is completed timely and accurately and updated into payroll.

Leadership & Team Support

  • Supervises the production and activities of the Retirement Plans team members.
  • Quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization at all levels, and be viewed as a team player with exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Actively lead the Retirement Administration Committee including oversight and coordination with investment advisors, record keepers, and committee members, materials, agenda preparation, recording minutes, making plan recommendations, and implementing changes.
  • Support budget activities and review/approve funding relating to the Retirement Plans, Health and Welfare and Department expenses.
  • Oversee various reconciliations and reporting for the Benefits Department and provide information to Accounting, as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.

Qualifications

The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience managing Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Deferred Compensation and Employee Stock Purchase Plans
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business or related discipline or commiserate combination of education and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Retirement Plans, related laws and regulations including ERISA, DOL and IRS.
  • Subject matter expert for the retirement benefits with excellent customer service skills.
  • Financial and business acumen – specifically, strong mathematical, technical, problem solving and analytical skills along with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Must be able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to absorb and process large quantities of information and synthesize quickly.
  • Strong presence and effective communicator to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with HRIS systems

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Familiarity with UKG (formerly known as Ultipro) human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Proficient with Office 365, especially Excel
  • CEBS certification a plus
