Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Full-time associates in role are also eligible for an annual bonus incentive. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field strongly desired.
Minimum fifteen years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements
Hands on experience with IT networking, security, servers and storage management required.

Brookdale is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.Responsible for the management and oversight of Brookdale's overall technology infrastructure and operations environment. This scope includes Brookdale's data centers (on-premise, hosted, and public cloud), data network, telecommunications network, servers and system administration, storage, transactional databases, identity and access management, and robotic process automation. In addition to ensuring the delivery of planned enhancements and upgrades, this role is accountable for infrastructure uptime, accuracy, reliability, and security. This role closely partners with Information Security, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, and End User Services teams in the fulfilment of responsibilities.

  • Plans, designs, and builds the underlying infrastructure supporting corporate systems as well as those supporting our communities and home health division, for custom-built as well as commercially provided platforms
  • Maintains operations, including uptime, reliability, performance, and appropriate security including proper patch levels, of the same infrastructure and components.
  • Accountable for managing all teams-whether internal associates, contractors, or vendors/partners-responsible for the delivery or operations of the infrastructure supporting Brookdale.
  • Manages the budget required for infrastructure capital purchases, on-going infrastructure repair and maintenance expenses, team labor costs, and associated software costs (whether on-premises or software-as-a-service).
  • Communicates risks and issues associated with project delivery and/or on-going operations to IT management or business executives for awareness, mitigation, and re-baselining, as appropriate.
  • Works with Enterprise Architecture team to prepare long- and short-range plans for technology components in the infrastructure stack.
  • Creates, promotes, and enforces IT infrastruture delivery and operations best practices, policies, and procedues. Drives continuous improvement across all teams.
  • Prepares cost estimates for current and proposed projects, reflecting the infrastructure and staff (internal or external) requirements.
  • Evaluates vendor proposals for purchases of hardware, software, and professional services to ensure adherence to technical specifications.
  • Responsible for compliance with SOX, HIPAA, PCI and other regulations as required.
  • Partner effectively with other IT groups (e.g., Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, End User Services) and business functions (e.g., Operations, Home Health, Procurement) to deliver projects and ensure operational stability.
  • Delivery executive-level presentations up to and including Senior Leadership Team, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
