Network Infrastructure Security Engineer (Information Technology)



Work Schedule: 

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position scheduled to work Monday through Friday, with core hours between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM plus an afterhours on-call rotation with a 30 minute on site response time. Applicants hired into this position can work hybrid from WI or IL. This will be discussed during the interview process.

We are seeking a Network Infrastructure Security Engineer to:

  • Design, Install,  and support network services including
    • LAN/WAN services at over 100 sites in the greater Madison, WI area, utilizing a variety of connectivity providers.
    • Cisco ACI Data Center fabric
    • Cisco DNA Center 
  • Manage, support, and install Cisco Wireless Network Infrastructure, including Cisco access points, wireless controllers
  • Configure and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls.  Including IPSEC site-to-site VPNs and Global Protect client firewall.
  • Maintain and support network load balancer services
  • Analyze network performance and capacity and make appropriate recommendations for network expansion/reconfiguration.
  • Monitor and maintain Azure Network services
  • Troubleshoot network services using industry standard monitoring and packet capture tools.
  • Use your routing protocol skills to troubleshoot and design large scale multi region networks

Education:

Minimum –

  • Associate Degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field
  • Two (2) years combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree

Preferred – Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field

Work Experience:

Minimum – 

  • Demonstrated success designing, configuring, and supporting network and security infrastructure Demonstrated success troubleshooting and resolving problems in a large technology environment

Preferred –

  • Three (3) years' relevant experience working in critical infrastructure
  • Two (2) years' relevant experience supporting network and security infrastructure

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – None

Preferred – CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE, or equivalent mid-level network certification
