General Overview: • Perform complex mechanical inspection and defect analysis of parts at any point in the manufacturing process to include incoming, in-process, component fabrications, CNC and Final QC. • Demonstrate comprehension of detailed and complex engineering drawings, which utilize all forms of dimensioning up to and including geometric tolerancing. • Perform precision mechanical inspection working independently or in conjunction with Engineering on analytical or developmental jobs. Essential Elements: • Will be responsible for programming and operation of computer controlled Coordinate Measuring Machine. • Must be capable of taking dimensions from drawing and implementing test program on Coordinate Measuring Machine. • Responsibilities also include training and monitoring other people in the operation of the machine. . • Will interface with customers as required in areas of mechanical inspection, which apply to their product. Secondary Elements: • Develop measurement programs from CAD and DXE files. • Setup SPC data files and reports as required by customers. • Participate in training and re-certification of other Aegis personnel. • Responsible for maintenance of the company calibration system. • Maintain the company calibration system. • This includes responsibility for monthly reviews of calibration due, performance of actual calibration and handling of all off-site and on-site outside vendor calibration requirements. • Maintains company calibration systems including interface with suppliers, vendors, and service personnel to arrange for repairs, periodic maintenance, and unusual servicing of calibration equipment. • Perform other duties as required to achieve company goals.
