Solutions Consultant Leader (Finance)



As the Solutions Consultant Leader for Employer Services, you will guide and empower a team of expert Pre-Sales Solutions Consultants. You will be a key leader within the sales organization, responsible for driving the strategy and execution of solution-based selling across our customer base. Your leadership will enhance client relationships, drive innovative solutions, and increase Equifax's market share and revenue.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and Coach a High-Performing Team: You will lead a team of Solutions Consultants, coaching them to effectively consult with clients and sales partners to design and execute revenue growth proposals. You'll be responsible for their professional development, performance management, and ensuring they have the resources to succeed.
  • Drive Sales Strategy: You will partner with Sales, Marketing, and other internal leaders to develop and execute strategies that position and enhance the value of Equifax's Employer Services solutions.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the primary escalation point and thought leader for your team in areas of product and technical knowledge, customer requirements, and solution design.
  • Champion the Voice of the Customer: Advise senior management on customer acceptance of products and services, making strategic recommendations for enhancements or new solutions based on client feedback, data, and analytics.
  • Foster Collaboration: Provide expert product and technical leadership to support other teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Develop Internal Talent: You will be responsible for coaching and training internal sales partners on effective client needs analysis and how to optimally position Equifax solutions to meet those needs.
  • Process & Methodology:
    • Develop and standardize best practices for the Solutions Consulting team, including demonstration process, proof-of-concept methodologies, and technical documentation.
    • Ensure the team effectively leverages our internal tools (e.g., Salesforce, Consensus, Walnut, Gemini and more) and other sales tools to track activities and contribute to pipeline accuracy as well as moves deals through the pipeline.
    • Optimize the pre-sales process to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

What Experience You Need:
  • Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in technology solutions selling or a related field, with at least 2 years in a formal leadership or management role.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or another relevant discipline.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR services, talent management, verifications, compliance, tax, or a similar domain.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to liaise with and influence individuals at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to craft and articulate compelling customer and competitive storylines and strategies. You have a track record of creative problem-solving and using analytical skills to achieve business objectives.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, highly organized, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results.
  • Ability to Travel 25% of the time and represent Equifax at individual client meetings as well as industry shows and partner events

What could set you apart:
  • An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
  • Direct experience leading a pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions consulting team in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling a team in a high-growth, evolving organization.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization, collaborating effectively with sales, product, and marketing teams.

Equifax is required by law to include a good-faith salary range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. At Equifax, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000 to $165,000.
