Internship - Customer Analytics & Business Insights (Finance)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support for customer-focused initiatives through data-driven analysis.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize the customer experience, strategic decision making, and financial goals.
  • Assist with collecting, verifying, and analyzing data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Help prepare presentations, spreadsheets or reports.
  • Participate in forecasting and planning activities.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between May 2026 and June 2027.
  • Intermediate Excel skills; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:
  • This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN
  • This role is anticipated to begin October 2025 and continue to June 2026, with the possibility of extending into the summer and up until graduation
  • The internship will be part time (20 hours per week) during the school year and full time during the summer, if applicable
  • ALLETE will comply with college requirements
  • Hours and duration are subject to change based on company needs
