Analyst I, MRO (Finance)



Job Overview

The Analyst I, MRO is responsible for the end-to-end management of parts and supplies critical for equipment maintenance and repair, encompassing procurement, inventory control, and distribution. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment by making sure the necessary parts and supplies are available when and where they are needed. This involves strategic procurement, efficient inventory management, and effective distribution, with a specific focus on supporting engineering capital projects and adhering to industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate regularly with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to determine and maintain optimal parts inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with store room teams across the network through routine communication.
  • Manage spare parts ordering for engineering capital projects.
  • Review and refine OEM recommended spare parts lists.
  • Assist in the development of enterprise-wide inventory training materials for new employees and provide training to network store room personnel on best practices.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements in inventory management.
  • Assist in the documentation of inventory requirements, purchases, and usage using established tracking tools.
  • Conduct routine audits of inventory levels to ensure accuracy of records and maintain adequate supply levels.
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials to meet demand.
  • Maintain the computerized purchasing and receiving system for MRO and Engineering plant items.
  • Manage daily purchase order operations across the network.
  • Drive continuous improvement in daily processes and projects by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for supply chain issues.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business discipline or a Technical degree in maintenance, inventory management or engineering discipline, or a High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with SAP or other inventory management software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create reports and utilize formulas and tables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple sites
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship (i.e. CPT/OPT)
  • Must be able to work without relocation at any of our GLC plants or corporate location.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in inventory management.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.

• Work is mainly performed in an office setting, with some time spent in a manufacturing environment
