Major Gifts Officer (Finance)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages and advances Choates philanthropic relationship with 150-200 major gift prospects and donors (as defined by gift capability of $50,000 and higher,) within an assigned region. Works with the Director of Major Gifts to establish and achieve annual goals and develop and execute a donor-centric plan for each assigned prospect. Travels extensively to off-campus locations as determined by the regional assignment for individual visits and small group cultivation events. Works with development colleagues and volunteers to coordinate annual, capital, and planned giving approaches to for prospects. Maintains prospect management tools including timely documentation of visits and all communication within CRM. Prepares briefing materials, correspondence, proposals, and related communication. Keeps informed of the Choates strategic plans, institutional priorities, funding needs, specific case and objectives of gift opportunities. Works independently and collaboratively within a team to build successful relationships.
