Job Description:
Job Summary
The Commissions Manager is responsible for the design, administration, planning and analysis of sales variable compensation plans and programs.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the sales compensation function from plan design to plan administration and communications, to commission calculations and reporting
Facilitate monthly commission cycle, process, analysis and overall management
Track attainment and calculate payouts
Develop and administer credit/attainment, compensation plans, design, and policies
Research and resolve attainment and commission questions, including calculating and processing adjustments for commissions
Prepare and distribute monthly commission reports
Participate in compensation plan and quota design cycles, performing analyses to inform potential plan improvements, design, and quota changes
Work cross-functionally to plan, update and execute variable compensation plans
Develop and deliver training, compensation policy and process and related documentation
Communicate with the participants of variable compensation plans and relevant partners on policy and program changes in a compelling and effective manner
MBO tracking and payout of attainment to plan targets, including SPIFF programs
Configure and administer all components of the Xactly commissions platform.
Qualifications
5+ years work experience in sales compensation
3+ years Xactly Incent experience, including building commission rules, formulas and analytic reports
Well-versed in incentive plan structures (quotas, accelerators, pay mix, and on-target earnings, pay for performance)
Ability to independently address analytical requests: capture needed data, build models and validate assumptions, perform analyses, summarize, and present results in a compelling manner
Strong Excel skills: use of advanced formulas and arrays, pivot tables, data manipulation
Customer service oriented with the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization to tackle problems
Extensive knowledge of Salesforce.com, working with Sales Ops to form the right reports and extracting the right data and to ensure data quality #LI-RC1
