Sr. Estimator (Finance)



As a Sales and Customer Liaison, your primary responsibility is to drive sales growth and manage margins effectively. This role entails serving as a crucial link between customers, outside sales, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and shipping to identify optimal branded product solutions. Understanding customer needs, including interpreting specifications, providing value-engineered solutions, quotes, shop drawings, and bid packages, is a key component of this position. Your duties encompass prospecting distributors and dealers, maintaining regular customer contact, and following up aggressively to meet growth targets. You'll also be responsible for addressing customer inquiries and complaints, determining problem resolution methods to ensure customer satisfaction, and informing customers of procedures and resolutions. Providing guidance and support to the Order Entry team is essential for maintaining accuracy and customer satisfaction.Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience selling an engineered product.
  • Sales management and customer care experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An enthusiastic, energetic individual with a commanding presence and strong customer relationship building skills.
  • An understanding of the construction industry with the ability to understand plans and specifications.
  • Must also have an understanding of both pricing and P&L as it relates to customers.
  • Must possess computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Education
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferable in Business, Marketing or Engineering (or related business experience).

  • Responsible for prospecting distributors and dealers to build interest in our products, maintaining consistent customer contact and communication along with aggressive follow up to achieve targeted growth.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and or complaints regarding the company's product or services.
  • Determine the best method(s) to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and adhere to company policies.
  • Inform customers of procedures and resolutions to problems.
  • Provide follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance and support to Order Entry team to insure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Operate computer terminal (JDE and or other applicable programs as designated by specific job responsibilities) to order parts, enter service history and provide shipping/receiving dates.
  • Strong customer orientation and sales acumen.
  • Provide product training to dealers, distributors, and end users.

Other Responsibilities

• Work effectively with Marketing, Engineering and all other Associates
• Willing to travel including overnight 30% of time.
• Willing to lead and conduct customers' training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Pricing.Responsibilities
