PROGRAM COORDINATOR I - Friday Night Live (Finance)
* Work Schedule and/or Shift Times: 5/40, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. With the willingness to work early, late and weekend hours, someone that is flexible with their work schedule.

Can you see yourself here?• Establish program goals and objectives and determine priorities; provide supervision, technical assistance, and consultation to program staff.
• Interpret and implement state and federal program mandates; establish and interpret program policy; monitor and evaluate program activities and budget expenditures; collect and analyze statistical data.
• Develop and write proposals for grant applications; may determine medical eligibility and authorize expenditure of program funds for diagnosis and treatment or delivery of services.
• May supervise staff in the preparation of case records, the determination of financial eligibility, the encumbrance of accounts, and the preparation of required reports.
• May communicate directly with physicians and other healthcare providers or managers concerning individual cases and administrative matters as appropriate.
• Serve as liaison with funding authority and departmental fiscal unit regarding program financial issues.
• Prepare annual and quarterly reports; meet with interested community organizations to promote program goals.
• Conduct educational outreach activities and develop program information materials for distribution to organizations, community groups, schools, and the general public.
• Represent the department at meetings with local, state, and federal program representatives; prepare a variety of reports, records, and correspondence.Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with major coursework in health education, nutrition, healthcare or hospital administration, public health, business or public administration, health science, communication/journalism, zoology, early childhood education, child development, or a closely related field. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.)
Experience: Two years of administrative or supervisory experience which includes the coordination, management, or administration of medical care, behavioral or public health, environmental health, animal services programs, or early care and education programs.
Knowledge of: Administrative principles applicable to the organization and functions of program planning, implementation, and evaluation; elements of supervision and principles of personnel management; budget preparation and control; grantsmanship; medical terminology; public relations and marketing.
Ability to: Supervise, train, and coordinate the work of program staff; analyze operations and services related to programs; interpret legislative and administrative mandates and regulations to project probable impact to the organization; develop and prepare grant applications; monitor expenditures and maintain fiscal control; establish and maintain effective working relationships with local, federal and state program agencies, and the general public; prepare comprehensive and clear oral and written reports and presentations.
Other Requirements
License/Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required.
